The U.K. government will invest over £200 million on innovation centers focusing on green and renewable energy over the next four years, AltAssets reports. The government will also invest around £20 million of capital in two energy portfolios. The capital to be committed in Zouk Cleantech 2 and HgCapital Renewable Power Partners will be a part of the £325 million U.K. Innovation Investment Fund. The government is seeking to launch an offshore renewable energy technology and innovation center.
