Beacon India Private Equity is seeking to raise its second fund with a target of $250 million, VC Circle reports. The Mumbai-based private equity firm is seeking to hold a first close of the fund at $75 million by the end of 2011. The new fund comes five years after the firm’s first offering, the Beacon India Private Equity Fund. The $200 million mid-market growth capital fund has made 10 investments primarily across consumer, financial services and infrastructure services sectors.
