SOSventures has appointed Bill Liao as European venture partner, Irish Times reports. Liao had founded social network Xing, which was valued at about €150 million.

The technology investor will be looking for investments in the Internet and social media spaces. SOSventures was founded by Sean O’Sullivan and has about $100 million in assets under management.
