Private equity firm New Mountain Capital has acquired a majority equity stake in sector-focused information services provider SNL Financial. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed. SNL will use some of the proceeds to accelerate its growth plans and to continue its product development initiatives. The remaining proceeds will be used to fund growth plans and product development.
