Fund data and analysis provider FE has rolled out a new service to let U.K. investors determine the risk profile of a range of asset classes, FundWeb reports. The FE Risk Scores service will offer a score for individual funds, direct equities, investment portfolios, indices and sector averages, which will show their volatility relative to the FTSE 100 index.
Through the service, a portfolio’s overall risk can be compared to its individual holdings, permitting investors’ to see the effects of diversification. Most funds will get a score of
between one and 150 points, although there is no upper limit. The service provider will reevaluate these scores weekly on a rolling three-year total returns basis, with returns being presented in sterling.
