Core Capital is planning to raise a around £46.8 million LP fund to offer follow-on capital to its portfolio companies, AltAssets reports. The fund, Core Capital I, will meet the need for additional capital by some of its investee companies.
The portfolio will raise new money from new investors, as opposed to tapping into the debt markets or raising third party capital from outside the firm’s fund stable. Six companies from Core’s VCTs will be shifted to the new fund.
