Poland’s treasury is selling part of its stake in European insurer PZU, Reuters reports. The treasury, which holds a 45.2% stake in the insurer, will sell a 10% stake worth about $1.22 billion.

The treasury will lock up its remaining stake for one year. Until now, Poland has raised about a fifth of its $5.6 billion privatization target for 2011.
