Mexico has committed a total of $2.5 billion to new wind farms to generate around 300 mega watts of electricity across the nation, Reuters reports. The investment is the part of the government’s plans to expand renewable energy. As a part of the plans, San Diego-based Cannon Power Group will develop another project in the Baja California peninsula along with a plant in Zacatecas and southern Quintana Roo. The investment will allow the country to reach 2000 mega watts capacity by next year.
